Flash came to us at the tender age of 8 weeks, our first Aussie and the one who won our devotion to the breed. He impressed us at an early age with his
ability to learn new things, was the star of his puppy class, and continued on quickly to excel as a 4-H dog for my daughter. He was her first try at training and together
they earned numerous High in Trial and showmanship awards.
He finished his ASCA CD with a HIT and High Score Junior in 3 shows but their biggest thril was going
High Score Junior in Obedience at the 1996 ASCA Nationals with a score of 193! They placed 3rd overall in Novice A that day and Flash and Natalie also went on to win a first
in 13-17 Novice Juniors and place in Open Black in a pre-show. Quite a memorable first Nationals for us.
Flash is the sire of our Ch. Joker & Sassy, the grandsire of our Topper, Banzii, Sugar, Indy and Peanut, and the great-grandsire of our Chanel, Rain and Jake. He has passed on the best of himself
without fail. His sound structure, intelligence, willingness to try any task, and super temperament have made him an asset to our breeding program.
Flash was always a steady hand with our livestock. His only try at agility earned him a 3rd place
at a pre-ASCA agility fun trial...he'd never seen an A-frame, tunnel, dog walk or tire jump and neither he or Natalie knew what those yellow zones were at the time but that didn't stop Flash!
He even took the collapsed tunnel without hesitation.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Flash will always be a special dog to us...for all he's taught us and especially for all the new friends he's brought us in the world of Aussies. Throughout his life he was always a gentleman with an unfailing sense of humor. Flash passed quietly on April 20, 2006, leaving a big empty space in all our hearts. He spent his last days being loved by his family, napping with his cat, and teaching his great grandkids how to play. He has left his pawprints forever on our hearts. Until we meet again old friend... |
